Overview

Seahorse is a much-loved timber boat seeking a new custodian. She came from Tuggerah Lakes to Pittwater more than 10 years ago and has been under the current ownership for the past six years. Much time and work has been invested, but it is now time for someone with the passion and budget to return her to her former beauty.

Built from New Zealand Kauri pine with copper sheathing, Seahorse is fitted with a Perkins 64 diesel engine. While she has not been used extensively under power in recent years, she has hosted many memorable lunches and gatherings and has even inspired a book.

Considerable work has been undertaken over the past six years, however she now requires a full restoration. This is a genuine project boat with significant historic character and supporting information on her history available.

Seahorse is ideally suited to someone with a passion for timber boats who is prepared to invest in a restoration. She is currently moored in Palm Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and is offered for sale with the hope she will find a good home and continue her story.
