Caribbean F40 and F27 Flybridge at Melbourne Boat Show

More than 42,000 visitors went to the 64th Melbourne Boat Show at Docklands from 15 to 18 October. That’s up about 8% on last year’s 39,000 and makes it one of the strongest shows in the event’s history.

For Maritimo, the show marked a homecoming for Caribbean, the Australian brand founded in Melbourne in 1958 and now designed and built by Maritimo. Two new models made their Melbourne debut: the Caribbean 27F Flybridge and the 40F Flybridge Cruiser.

“What a great three and a half days at the Melbourne Boat Show, back at the old home of Caribbean,” said Danny Jordin, Australasian Sales Manager at Caribbean. “It was fantastic to reconnect with so many loyal Caribbean owners and admirers, sharing stories and celebrating a brand with such a proud history.”

The Caribbean 27F was a standout. Visitors were drawn to its old-school character and classic Caribbean feel, brought up to date with modern flair. The Streaker Marine fit-out included twin Yamaha F300s, full Helm Master integration, Reelax outriggers and Seakeeper Ride technology.

“It’s a brilliant combination of traditional offshore fishing DNA and modern technology,” Mr Jordin said. “The Caribbean 40F was also exceptionally well received, generating plenty of interest and excitement.”

“A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, caught up with the team and showed their support. It was a pleasure to showcase the Caribbean range in such a special location.”

More than 100 exhibitors lined over a kilometre of waterfront and marina displays along Victoria Harbour. Fine weather on all four days and free entry drew strong crowds.

The Melbourne Boat Show returns to Docklands in the third week of October 2027.
