Stylish, spacious and totally unique, the Sirocco 730i is striking a chord with boat owners seeking low-maintenance, fuss-free boating.

Since its arrival ‘down under’ in August 2023, the 7.3-metre Dutch-built day boat is already making waves in Sydney and on the Gold Coast with owners who appreciate its impeccable craftsmanship, abundance of features and the ease of setting out for a day on the water.

New owners on the Gold Coast have recently relocated from Sydney where they owned a mid-size motor yacht.

“The classic lines of the Sirocco 730i appealed to them,” says Ryan Slater, Director at Sirocco Marine Queensland.

“They were looking for a versatile, spacious boat they could take out on the Broadwater and canals with their grandchildren. The 730i has a safe and easy walk-through transom, high sides, lots of storage and seating on board, solid Dutch construction and all the mod-cons.”

The new owners customised their Sirocco 730i with an anchor winch and new Fusion stereo system, and are taking advantage of the autumn sunshine for pleasant days exploring the Gold Coast waterways.

The Sirocco 730i is equipped with an inboard diesel engine, offering owners economical, family-friendly cruising.

With her distinctive navy-blue hull and tan bimini for protection against the elements, the Sirocco 730i is ideal for cruising Australian waterways, from Sydney Harbour, Pittwater and the Hawkesbury to Port Phillip Bay and the Gold Coast Broadwater and canals.

Extremely comfortable and stable with a deep-V hull to handle all conditions, the Sirocco 730i delivers speed when it’s required, powered by a Vetus 52hp for a top speed of 12 knots.

Other standard features include a stainless-steel swim ladder, hydraulic steering, bowthruster, and zipper front window in the sprayhood.

The second Sirocco 730i is operating as a hire boat for Members of the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Point Piper in Sydney. According to the Club’s General Manager, Jason Levin, it’s a firm favourite with people of all ages and its clean lines make it exceptionally “instagrammable”.

“When Members have friends here from overseas or interstate, they take them out on Sydney Harbour to see all the sights. It’s the perfect day boat!” Jason says.

“Our Sirocco 730i has the 110hp motor, so it has plenty of power and gets up on the plane quickly,” says Jason.

“People hire it for picnics, special occasions, proposals. It has high sides, a great seat arrangement, bimini over the bow and stern for sun protection and clears at the front to protect from the wind and weather. There’s good access from the transom and heaps of storage space on board, as well as two deep esky wells for the food and drinks.

“It has been very popular and people come back raving about it!”

“The Sirocco 730i is a spacious, solid platform with all the creature comforts on board for up to 10 guests,” says Neil Webster, Managing Director at Sirocco Marine, exclusive importers of the Sirocco 730i.

“It offers owners all the advantages of a diesel shaft drive, superb handling, and user-friendly, economical operation. With its elegant profile and large, social space, there’s nothing like it on the market. We are looking forward to exhibiting the Sirocco 730i at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.”

In addition to the Sirocco 730i, Sirocco Marine will showcase an impressive range of RIBs from Zodiac, including the Medline 6.8, Medline 7.5 and Medline 9, plus the Open 6.5. There will be the latest BRIG Eagle 8 and the flagship BRIG Eagle 10, and the Sirocco range of console tenders from 2.9 to 5-metres.
