Dangar Dory Derby Day

The annual rowing race at Dangar Island is on Easter Sunday March 31.

Canoe events, kids events, sprints and fastest recreational type rowboat round the island wins the Derby. All types of boats welcome form 1000 hrs. Come and see if you can beat the current champ. Distance around Dangar Island is 2.6 km and the current record is 14min 45 seconds, about 5.6 knots. Working the tide makes the race interesting.
