Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club and St George Sailing Club are increasing prize money for the 13ft and 16ft Skiff Classes and offering generous subsidies for new and 2nd hand boats including the junior pathway classes of Flying 11s and Manly Juniors.

By breaking down the financial barriers the club is seeking to build their fleets and attract and retain sailors at all levels and age groups. If you are a weekend warrior or an international sailor, all are welcome and encouraged to put together a team to enjoy the camaraderie and action-packed racing of 16ft skiffs on Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay.

With consistent attendance on race days in-time, 16ft Skiff Sailors will be able to go racing self-funded. Start/Finish prizemoney next season will be $560 per week for the 16ft Skiff. 16ft Skiff applicants can also apply for $14,500 (26 race-days) in advance to assist with the purchase of a 16ft Skiff, + $21,000 subsidy from the club for if this is a new 16ft Skiff – approx. 25% of value.

The exciting 13ft Skiff youth class is essential for the growth of the 16ft Skiff Class. An applicant may apply for up to $8,700 in Advance Prize Money (approximately two years in attendance Money) and $6,750 to assist with purchase of a new boat- approx. 25%
