The first Bali 4.4 catamaran by Catana to arrive in Australia will be in time for the 2022 Sydney International Boat Show. From a distance it seems like a smart boat with some unique design features.

The foredeck is solid creating an extra cockpit, allowing food and drinks to be served though opening windows at the front of the galley. There is a lockable which gives direct access to the galley, now in the centre of the boat, and the saloon. A double door, floor-to-ceiling fridge with an ice maker and chilled water fountain is on the port side with the saloon to starboard which seats eight people comfortably.

The surprises don’t end here though; at the press of a button the whole aft bulkhead is lifted by a hydraulic ram and secured under the solid bimini to give easy access and direct airflow from the aft cockpit, which has its own fridge. Open space is generous with this 44 footer having 85 square meters of usable deck space.

Below decks with this owner version there are three cabins, each with private facilities, and the whole yacht is fully air-conditioned and equipped with generator and water maker.

The Bali 4.4 is of course at heart a sailing yacht and there is access to the helm station from either side with clear vision in all directions. For the off-watch crew there are sun beds all around. Look up and there is a maximum 150 square metres of upwind sail area, a square top main, furling jib and furling gennaker on a bowsprit.

The Bali 4.4 being brought to Australia by Yacht Share Mariner will be syndicated with eight shares on offer at $205,000 equipped, delivered, duty and tax paid.
