The Northshore Yachts Regatta has been run over the 29 and 30th August hosted by the Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto.

Saturday provided challenging conditions with 0 to 5 knots from various directions however 11 out of the 13 entrants finished. In 1st place was a Northshore 33, Sapphire Lady (Bob Mitchell), 2nd place was a Northshore 340, Millewa (Phil Darby) and 3rd place was a Northshore 33, Barney Cools (Adam Boslem).

Sunday saw a pleasant 10 knot breeze for the 2 windward / leeward races. In 1st place was a Northshore 31, Sassy (Lyn Evans), 2nd was a Northshore 33, Epsilon (Noel Glover) and 3rd place was a Northshore 33, Larrikin (Brenton Curran). The 2nd race saw a change of boats with 1st place a Northshore 340, Pentangle (Brian Vernam), 2nd Millewa and 3rd Barney Cools.

Overall winner was Pentangle on 13 points sailing as a non-spinnaker boat in the series. 2nd was Millewa on a count-back with Barney Cools on 14 points. Larrikin was 4th on 15 points, Sapphire Lady was 5th on 16 points and Sassy was 6th on 17 points showing just how close the racing was between boats.
