Nanni saves Sydney Hobart Race favourite

Handicap race favourite suffers engine failure just days before Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

Naval Group is a Reichel Pugh 69 built by McConaghy Boats in Sydney and launched in 2008. Launched as Moneypenny, the yacht is now campaigned by well known Sydney sailor Sean Langman, owner of the Noakes Group of shipyards.

Preparation for the 75th Anniversary race was going well for Langman and the crew until the Saturday before the race when a catastrophic failure left the yacht without a working engine. The Hobart may be a sailing race, but an engine is a must!
