American yacht Wizard becomes part of Fastnet legend with 2019 victory

The 48th edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race gathered a record-breaking international fleet of 388 yachts.

Competitors battled a broad range of weather and sea conditions over the famously challenging 605 nautical mile course across the English Channel and Celtic Sea, where the professional and Corinthian crews were required to display resilience, teamwork and supreme sailing skill.

American yacht Wizard won the 2019 Fastnet Challenge Cup to become part of the legend of this near century-old ocean classic, which Rolex has sponsored since 2001 as part of its enduring relationship with yachting that dates back more than six decades.
