Discover Sailing with Concord Ryde Sailing Club
Discover sailing with Concord Ryde Sailing Club on the beautiful Parramatta River which is now so clean we see the occasional dolphin while we are out on the water! Whether you are an experienced sailor or have just been dreaming of becoming one, it is time to give it a go. The 2019/2020 sailing season starts on Saturday 7 September 2019 and anyone interested in sailing is always very welcome.
Concord and Ryde Sailing Club is a family friendly dinghy sailing club located at Kissing Point Park, corner of Waterview St and Yaralla Rd Putney. Each Saturday afternoon a large number of dinghies take part in racing on the Parramatta River between Ryde Bridge, Majors Bay and Brays Bay. Next year the Club will be celebrating 75 years of sailing on the river, so this is a perfect opportunity to check it out.
Several different types of dinghies’ take part including: Spirals, Tasars, NS14’s, Herons, Sabots, Optimists, Catamarans and Firebugs. Sailors of all skill levels are catered for, from beginners to State & National Champions.
The Club also has an active Cadet fleet and popular Learn to Sail program for young sailors and adults. Our Club is registered as an Active Kid provider. Which enables two $100 vouchers per child, for parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year. From 1 July 2019, parents, guardians and carers can apply for the second $100 Active Kids voucher. Voucher 1 is valid January to December and Voucher 2 is valid July to December.
