Description

Northshore 33 Blew

A shining example of the highly popular, Australian designed classic Northshore 33. Fast, fun and very versatile as a club racer or cruiser, this boat has been meticulously maintained and refreshed by the owner who has owned it since 2011.

There is an emphasis on simplicity and reliability with this vessel: Tiller steering allows much more space in the cockpit, while the auto-pilot enables freedom to move around the boat during single-handed passages, or simply relaxing and enjoying the ride while underway.

Re-powered and re-painted in 2009, Blew has an 18hp Yanmar engine and folding prop capable of pushing her at 7 knots. The elegant colour of her hull sets her apart from other Northshore boats and she looks much younger than her age. Other notable items include bi-data depth/speed log, spinnaker/spinnaker pole, trickle-charge solar panel, updated dual batteries, Flexofold prop with shaft re-alignment and new engine mounts, re-wired in 2016, new mainsail in 2016, professionally re-rigged and mast re-painted in 2017, new headsail and furler in 2017, new windows and hatches in 2018, new water tanks and plumbing in 2021, cockpit cushions, bimini and sun awning for comfortable entertaining at rest, Bluetooth stereo, electric head, EPIRB and safety gear.

While Northshore boats were incredibly successful as club racers, they were also known for their innovative and spacious layout below: Roomy v-berth in the bow, large and comfortable saloon, commodious head and shower/vanity, L-shaped galley with a methylated spirits stove for simplicity and safety, chart table, large main berth with another spacious king-single aft as a berth or additional storage above and below.

She has been berthed at a jetty in Daley’s Point on the Central Coast since 2017, affording easy access and regular, frequent maintenance and care. Lifted for anti-foul/prop-speed and anode in November 2024, Blew is absolutely ready to be sailed away by her new owners and will give years of trouble-free sailing and life-long memories. Survey report available from September 2022. Inspections welcome – she will not disappoint!
