The Moruya River Boat Shed is located on NSW South Coast, on the, corner of The Princess Highway and North Head Drive. Just 310 kilometres south of Sydney, and 730 kilometres north of Melbourne.
It’s on the northern side of the Moruya River just next to the bridge.
The Boat shed has a current Hire and Drive Certificate of Operation and ran for many years hiring tinnies with outboards, and canoes. The coastal fires of 2019/2020 and the outbreak of Covid, saw the boat shed close and boats removed from the water. Since then, the Boat shed has been used privately for the berthing of a forty-foot sailing catamaran and other visiting vessels.
The Boat shed could easily be set up and run again as a hire boat business ( boats and outboards are in storage ), or, converted to cater for another idea.
The concept of opening the Boat shed as a café was proposed to Eurobodalla Shire Council with no objections. There is a public toilet facility located next to the boat shed which is soon to be replaced with a new amenity.
The Waterfront Hotel and Ingenia Caravan Park are located just across the road.
The Town boat ramp/wharf and Riverside Park are across the river.
The Saturday Markets in the park always attract a huge crowd.
