Re-igniting Enthusiasm for One Class racing in Young 88s

A group of skippers sailing the Jim Young designed Young 88 are planning some One Class Design racing this winter.

A Young 88 winter series is planned starting with the 3 Bridges Race on April 22, the 3 Islands Race and subsequently the Balmain Sailing Club Winter Series. The Balmain Sailing Club has kindly offered to prepare a separate point score just for the Young 88s.

Five Young 88s, namely Mind/Matter, Andiamo, Fast Forward, Pistol Dawn and Quiksticks are all confirmed starters with 3 other Young 88s likely to participate.

In Spring we plan to continue to race as a group both west of the bridge and joining other Young 88s in Saturday racing elsewhere in Sydney harbour (SASC, MHYC) and Pittwater.
