The Brain Foundation Big Lap Charity Race  25-Jul-2016
The weather was mild and participation high and so goes another Manly Combined Clubs “Big Lap” charity event held in Moreton Bay, Brisbane, 9 July 2016. It began in 2012 as a fund raiser and tribute for the late Peter Beard. The Brain Foundation was selected as the recipient of around $2,400 with all the proceeds from the race entry fees and raffles, with prizes donated by Strand Bags and Sutton Tools, being donated.

Marine Industry Foundation Sets Sail  19-Jul-2016
The Marine Industry Foundation conducted its first public fundraising and grants presentation function at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron on Friday 15 July. The luncheon was considered a great success by those in attendance with over $38,000 in funds raised and the first grants announced.

Marine Industry Foundation Announces First Grants  15-Jul-2016
The Marine Industry Foundation announced its first grants at a fund raising luncheon held at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron attended by industry identities and Foundation Patrons Kay Cottee AO and Jeff d’Albora; Jessica Watson OAM and guest speaker Rob Mundle OAM. The Foundation was established in 2015 to broaden community access to the benefits of recreational boating and to assist the marine industry to grow and develop as a significant provider of social, recreational and employment opportunities.
