New approach to ‘classic’ boat sales New approach to ‘classic’ boat sales

As a timber boat owner, Clive Gregory who runs Australiawide Boat Sales in NSW, says, “I have a vested interest in the way we value, maintain and perpetuate our heritage fleet.” He races his Alan Payne 40ft timber yacht Fare Thee Well on Pittwater and cruises to classic boat events from Moreton Bay to the Timber Boat Festival Tasmania.
“However, when it comes to marketing your pride and joy or finding a good boat looking for a new home, the tools available to us are pretty limiting.
“I’ve noticed that as the Internet rapidly becomes our primary means of promotion and as the various boat sales websites proliferate they’re not very good at presenting and showcasing classic boats.
Designed to be simple and accessible, their website lists an eclectic variety of vessels and provides a marketplace to buy and sell any classic, “As long as it is a quality boat with heritage it’s welcome.”
