Harbour Dive Services were recently employed in placing an art installation for Sculpture by the Sea art exhibition at Bondi. The art piece was placed just offshore in around 3 metres of water.

Conservation groups today welcomed the Senate's support for the Federal Government's Coral Sea conservation zone. This support now gives a green light for assessing whether the Coral Sea should be protected as a marine park.

The Nationals Senator Ron Boswell said that the Labor government has declared a green war on fishing with their successful declaration of Coral Sea Conservation Zone.
“With the vote tied at 31 to 31 on the disallowance, the motion was defeated meaning the proclamation of the Coral Sea Conservation Zone will stand,” Senator Boswell said.

Light breezes and warm sunshine greeted the fleet as it moved to the northern part of the bay for a pleasant afternoon on Corio Bay. At the start the wind strength (or weak?) was between 3 to 5 knots, Number one heady and a full main looked like the 'rig-o'-the-day'.

Jules Verne Trophy - Damage, destination Cape Town  17-Nov-2009
It was at 1216 UT on Monday 16th November, that the skipper of Groupama 3, Franck Cammas, called the Jules Verne Trophy team to inform them that an aft beam bulkhead had broken, leading to serious damage to the float. Despite the storm, Groupama 3 is slowly making headway towards Cape Town some 1,700 miles away (3,000 km) and is therefore abandoning this particular Jules Verne Trophy.

Sail Melbourne - The countdown is on!  17-Nov-2009
