Authorities have described as “senseless and unwarranted” an attack on a spotted wobbegong shark in the Cape Byron Marine Park. Marine Park manager Andrew Page said the metre-long spotted wobbegong was found washed up on Suffolk Park beach recently with a spear through its head.
